In 1725, J.S. Bach gave his second wife, Anna Magdalena, a Notenbüchlein" - a collection of solo keyboard pieces and arias. Most of the keyboard pieces were composed by friends, colleagues, and his son, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.
