Bauman, Patrick K. William Davidson was born in Delaware in 1747. He became a pioneer settler when he migrated to southwestern Pennsylvania at the age of 20 and built a log cabin on the frontier. In 1778, he served in the Pennsylvania Militia during the Revolutionary War. He later floated down the Ohio River on a keelboat to settle on unbroken land in the Northwest Territory.
