Welcome to the Second RapidMiner Community Meeting and Conference in Dublin, Ireland. After the first RapidMiner conference held in Dortmund in September 2010, we moved the conference to mid June in 2011 due to collisions with other events. The third RapidMiner Community Meeting and Conference (RCOMM 2012) was held in Budapest, Hungary. Topics covered in the proceedings include various new extensions for supervised and unsupervised learning, building recommender systems, operating on images, text, and data streams, and combining RapidMiner with scripting languages. It also contains an introduction of Matthew North's new book "Data Mining for the Masses".
