This trio for piano, violin, and cello was commissioned by the Music Teachers National Association to feature and promote collaborative music. It was premiered at the MTNA Conference in 2013. Inspired by dance music, the suite begins with a tango in the first movement. This arrangement is based on the version from The Tango Project. It was originally written for three performers on a single 5-octave marimba. It was then expanded for a full ensemble to augment the arrangement, but can still be performed as a trio if desired. Instrumentation (3 or 9 players): three soloists (one 5-octave marimba), two additional marimbas (low A), bells, xylophone, and bass (string bass or bass marimba).

This piece, written by Leroy Anderson in 1947, was commissioned by Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra. Written in a classic song-and-trio form, it is based on the childhood nursery song "Three Blind Mice."
