The Dos Cabezas - Two Heads - take their name from a pair of stone domes capping the summit. Siphon Canyon, a broad sandy wash, opens an easy entrance to Apache Pass on the east, but the way to the summit is steep, tortuous, and difficult. The face of Bowie Mountain walls the pass on the south. Helen's Dome, another curious rocky promontory, is a looming landmark to the southwest.
