One of its contents, Sarrasine, though powerful in its way, is tarred with the same brush of morbidness which stains Une Passion dans lo Desert and La Fille aux Teux d'or, so that it will not, at any rate for the present, be given an exclusion which still leaves the volume rather longer than the average.The other contents are a little miscellaneous, and were very variously grouped in Balzac's successive rearrangements of the Comedy.
