Ariana Langley and Jason Poole must bring about the end of the world.


Ariana Langley is a grumpy daydreamer just waiting to grow up. Jason Poole is a thief who doesn't really do the whole "feelings" thing. A shoplifting bust lands Jason a job at the mysterious Here-And-There antique store, which happens to be owned by Ariana's aunt. Naturally, Ariana decides to hate Jason until the end of time. But when they open a magical locket and fall together into another world, their relationship gets complicated.


To escape Elsewhere, a land brimming with adventure and fantastical creatures, the teen enemies must team up. Along the way, they'll meet tree folks with tails, singing zombies, hairy sprites, frosty elves, and a deadly pirate crew led by Captain Garrett Kerrie-a dashing man with a peculiar headache problem.


Will Ariana and Jason learn to work together? Can Ariana accept her imagination? Can Jason be honest? Or will they both be lost to the shadows...and trapped in Elsewhere forever?
