Most coaches will tell you that the most important period of the season is Pre-Season. The only time in the season when competition doesn't exist. The training and games are put together as a preparation period for the season ahead. This doesn't mean that pre-season isn't critical, it is this preparation period that prepares the players for a successful campaign ahead.
