Depression Wears Lipstick was birthed out of my desire to see myself healthy, happy and whole. I believe that depression is real and if you do not take the time to help yourself, it can be a dangerous and unfulfilling time of your life. I went through a period in my life where I was silently hurting in the church. I would attend service every Sunday, sing in the choir and participate in various ministries, but I was slowly dying inside. After failed attempts of reaching out to the church, I was faced with my painful past. It was not until I sought out professional help, while learning to fight for who God made me to be, that I was able to pull myself from the grave. Depression Wears Lipstick tackles mental health in a way that makes you think and act on becoming better.
