It's three days until Christmas and Agent Roman Walsh has one assignment: Get Senator McIntyre's ex-wife into protective custody. She plans to hand it over to the District Attorney in exchange for protection from some very dangerous people who also want the list and will stop at nothing to get it. When she finds out her escort to Washington is the man who walked away from her years ago, a pain she thought was long gone resurfaces, and she wonders what she has gotten herself into.

With each mile Roman and Dana travel together, they relive memories and buried feelings of a young love that ended too soon. However, they will have to learn to trust each other again if they're going to survive the enemies on their trail and make it to Christmas morning. But that won't be so easy, because one of them has been lying from the very beginning.
