But if its owner neglects it and does not take care of it, then like a plant seedling, a goat may come and eat it, or a child might come and pluck it out, or the weeds around it will grow and overshadow it until they cause it wither away. Our emaan is the same way."Similarly Khaythamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahmaan, may Allaah have mercy on him, said, "Faith grows strong in fertile soil and grows weak in arid soil.
