Dans cette ville on vit en 1781 un amateur nommé Rambaud s'enlever dans une montgolfière de seize mètres de diamètre. Il ne resta que dix-sept minutes en l'air, et atteignit une hauteur considérable. Redescendu à terre, il santa hors du ballon sans songer à le retenir.
