Our one great grandfather Ohs/Ochs came from Germany/Prussia to the United States in 1863 where he went off to search for gold and ended up homesteading 160 acres of land in Rock County, Minnesota.
Our other grandfather Laurits Peder Lund was born in Ribe, Demark and immigrated with his parents in 1880 where the family settled in Butler County, Iowa. He was ordained to the office of the Holy Ministry on a call from congregations at Luverne, Jasper, and Kenneth, Minnesota.
So starts the Lund and Ohs genealogies family histories. We have found and included pictures, letters, and newspaper articles.
