For a sociopath and an apathetic like Albert Verne, a young retired soldier who found solace in opium and smoking, the world is nothing more than a void of emptiness. A sanctuary where each individual lives inside their suffocating cages.

After the Germans invaded the Army base in secrecy, Verne was kept captive by the enemy nation. He, then, was imprisoned inside a dark prison, divorced from the outside world. There he encounters a Pastor and another man in his twenties, who share their memories with him.

Through this story of a socially dejected man who unintentionally narrates his own life through great misery, the readers explore the baseless insanity(or intelligence) of a man who had no purpose or meaning to his life.
