Is it okay to cry about the death of a loved one? What about being angry or frustrated or sad?


After a long-term illness, Starr's father passes, and she is overcome with a lot of varying emotions including anger, frustration, sadness, and relief. Starr is unsure how to act and if how she is feeling is okay or not normal.


Starr realized that she wasn't crying. She was trying to be brave, whatever that meant.


Okay to Cry is a story about coping with the death of a parent and learning to understand that all emotions are okay.
