Researching and archiving languages that are no longer spoken, or are still spoken by only a few people, can be a long and involved project. It requires a certain amount of detective work to go through old sources and to make them useful to language projects. Now back in print, Paper and Talk aims to give information to both the community and academic language workers about taking texts and wordlists from historical sources (from manuscripts to oral recordings), and making them useful in language programs and literature today.
