Amanda Anderson is a freshman at Somersville High. Jeff Shaffer, the cutest boy, asked her to the movie. Her mom told her, "No." You can't date until you're sixteen. but... her mom let her go to the Senior prom with Jim Winston. Amanda doesn't understand. "You're silly." Amanda told Jim with a giggle, when he opened the car door for her in the school parking lot. "Thanks." Jim looked down at her and held his arm out to escort her across the drive and into the gym. "And you're beautiful." Amanda blushed, smiled, and took Jim's arm. She was excited. Her first prom. Wow! And she was just a freshman. They were about to enter the gym, when to Amanda's bewilderment. Sarah came rushing out and grabbed Amanda's arm. "What's up?" Amanda thought Sarah was acting a little weird to say the least. "I have to talk to you." Sarah pulled at Amanda's arm. "Now!"
