For Benjamin Durbin, Singapore was the very first destination outside of the typical "American Bubbles" his previous travels had taken him. It was just the spark he needed to ignite a fascination with global adventuring.

Through a fortunate job assignment, university instructor Aaron Payette was able to orchestrate the uniting of three childhood buddies, on the other side of the earth. No strangers to travelling together, these close friends have embarked on a myriad of journeys, many before they were even done with high school. Complete Asian travel rookies, Martin Lamer and Benjamin Durbin had the opportunity to join Payette in Singapore during the spring of 2011.

Several amazing meals and a couple of international incidents later, the trip was nothing less than a gem of an adventure. Follow them on their monumental journey through Southeast Asia as told by Durbin, who was able to faithfully maintain a journal to record it in all of its glory and disgrace.
