Accordingly the subject has been divided into three parts of which this memoir on the ores in the Carboniferous rocks is the first to appear. A. Second volume will deal with the ores of the Silurian rocks of Central Wales, while a third will be devoted to the consideration of the ores in the pre-carboniferous rocks of North Wales these are now in the press and will shortly be published.The group of mines described in this memoir includes some of the largest lead and zinc producers in Britain, such as the celebrated Minera Mine.
