This volume presents an analytical tool for the study of the simultaneous idiosyncrasy and commonality of narrative experiencing. The concept of storyworld possible selves is an application of blending theory to the linguistic and literary analysis of emotional responses to narratives and of perspectival alignment with fictional entities.
