Excerpt from Supreme ThingsIn the case of the University of Wisconsin, the address was made under the auspices of the Y. M. C. A. In their own building, this building having been erected through subscriptions from the faculty and students of the university and from the people of the state of Wisconsin. This building is said to be the most expensive and commodious of all the college Christian Associa tion Buildings in the United States.The occasion of my appearance before the University of Illinois was the inauguration of Doctor Edmund J anes James as president. His inauguration was attended by an entire week of special exercises in which educational, social and economic questions were discussed. This week was ushered in by a religious service held in the largest building of the vicinity.
