Settled in a foreign but vibrant country, Quesiyah spends her days juggling her life as a university student while also trying to get the cute guy in her class to notice her, determined to live the life she sees fit while ignoring the quiet and creeping unrest that reverberates throughout every corner of her city.
Yet, the arrival of an explosion that shakes the ground beneath her feet destroys the fragile illusion of peace that she had taken for granted. Knowing nothing else but normalcy, Quesiyah experiences desperation for the first time and struggles with the anxiety and desolation that comes with the need to survive.
