After being estranged from his family and moving to Barcelona, Alex receives a letter from his long-lost uncle, who claims to be dying and wishes him to become his heir. He has worked as a psychoanalytic therapist for 25 years and now focuses on fiction writing. In addition to other stories, Mr. Lewes is working on a sequel to The Book-Worm. He currently lives in Manhattan, New York.
