Sevan has barely recovered from the last presidential coup when he becomes embroiled in another.

Matters get worse when the new regime sentences him to death.

His friends Ay-ttho and Tori receive the same sentence and are despatched to different corners of the galaxy to be hunted down by Republic assassins.
