And though they do manifeli violence to the Scripture, I nould not accufe them of fpeahing contrary to their cxvn light, inor judge them unworthy of toleration in a Protellant (late - As to their my}, I ought not to be cenfured, if I endeavour to reprefent it in its own colours - in ail that deformity which necellinily attends an hypothelis, that is contrary' to Divine Revelation and the fpirit of true religion. This is my duty, and one end of my minillry.
