Sony will be launching JETT: The Far Shore as one of the five games bundled with their new Playstation 5 for the Holiday 2020 season, so the game will be in millions of homes.

Superbrothers' previous game, Sword and Sworcery, was a huge hit, and one of the first "indie games." It sold millions of copies around the world.

Hammond considers GamerGate and its relationship to the indie movement, where creators began making games not to make money but to tell their stories, and how it has fizzled out because games cost so much to make-JETT is a good example: after nearly a decade of work, and despite their strong DIY ethic, Superbrothers needed a big investment from Sony to finish the game.
