We thank him that he has left the time for these great events to come upon the world veiled from men and has made their advent depend upon the good or the evil life of the nations. Man may, or at least it is possible for him to, postpone these fearful scenes for centuries by accepting the counsel of God. And breaking off his great sins in wars, cruelties, oppres sion, and destruction of his fellow men.
