The Long Jump tells the story of French athlete Jean-Baptiste Alaize. Jean- Baptiste was born during the Civil war in Burundi. When he was three years old, he was caught in an armed conflict and his left leg had to be amputated. He moved to France to be with his adoptive family in 1998, where he received a prosthetic leg and immediately started to run and jump competitively, wanting to leave the war in his past. To this day, he has won 4 world championships and works hard to make this world a more inclusive place.
