It is, I believe, 17 years since any detailed account of the Mines of this Colony was published in a collective form, and this was in a valuable work by F. S. Dutton, Esq., and entitled South Australia and its Mines. At that time the Copper Mines enumerated were eight, and the Lead Mines three in number!
