It is 1980 and Matt Morrow's life has been turned upside down. His mother lays dying in the hospital from a mysterious illness called AIDS, something she caught as a porn star. HIs first marriage is imploding, a consequence of allowing the wrong woman into his life. Yet, through it all, his career has remained successful. A wealthy man, he could retire and life the rest of his life in seclusion, but he would be lost without his music. Now, as he watches his mother die, he wonders what he will do without her in his life.
