The book has been written to help parent aides become better equipped, more confident and more successful as they play their important role in the social work continuum. They spend more time, on a regular monthly basis, with their assigned children and families than state social workers or court personnel, and the insights and guidance they provide others as a result of this work are needed and valuable.
