Voice of Women from Anatolia

WOMEN STUDY, ALSO IDENTITY, WOMEN IN ISLAM IN TURKEY BY THE WAY OF ANATOLIAN TURKOMAN WOMEN. Although the term "Anatolian Turkmen women" is a complex one and this identity shows cultural varieties through history, this study gives a panoramic view focused on fieldwork, and gives data different from that already known. By the 'already known' we mean the materials women use in daily life, shortly, any kind of material. Besides finding the data, "Why were they used by them in daily life?" Social and psychological conditions are the main discussion points of this study. In the identities of Anatolian Turkmen Women, being "Turkmen" is very influential. For this reason it was necessary to ask the questions, "Who are Turkmen?" , "Where do they live?", "How are their social lives?" etc... The details relevant to the subject have been analyzed before describing the fieldwork areas. However, the most important concern of this study is to identify those agents which have become most influential on the identity of Anatolian Turkmen Women. As was discussed above, "Turkmen" life style is one of these agents. So, the effects of religion, belief, customs and geography will be seen clearly.
