So I went to my window, and what did I see? Airplanes. Millions of them! They flew right over the farm where I worked. They flew so low I could read the numbers on them. And they kept coming and coming and coming." When World War II finally reached the peaceful country of Denmark, Vera Jorgensen was twenty one years old and just starting out in life.
